overview
DanceOne is the largest organizer of dance events and competitions in the world. They have taken many of the largest dance competitions in the country and folded them under one umbrella. They work with some of the biggest stars in the dance world, like Julianne and Derek Hough.

DanceOne hired our team to help them build a strategic way to simplify their complex brand story for potential partnerships.

a. challenge/constraint
DanceOne brings together over 20 different dance competition brands. Each competition has its own rules, branding, schedules, and audiences across a variety of scales.

Our goal: to build a concise overview the DanceOne partnership opportunity without getting stuck in the weeds of all of the subbrands
b. creative strategy
When telling the story of DanceOne, we decided to take a middle route. We identified the top influencers and top competitions, and focused on them, while also giving a quick high level overview of the whole thing.

Primarily, we wanted to show that regardless of where a partner landed in the immense DanceOne ecosystem, they would have access to large-scale events and top-tier influencers.
b1. sizzle video
I combined a voiceover with backing track from Dua Lipa’s Dance the Night to create a strong sense of movement and upbeat energy while telling the partner story. I wrote the script, cut the video together, and added motion graphics for momentum.

b2. sizzle video
Once DanceOne had a few big early partnerships, we wanted to make a partner sizzle reel / case study to show creative ways partners have integrated around events and influencer content. This time, we focused on the music, using Kylie Minogue’s Padam Padam to give it an upbeat sizzle energy.

b3. storytelling design
Our initial deck design began with a high-level overview to the scale, and then pivots quickly to the prevalence of dance in popular culture. Then it summarizes the scale of the events, influencers, and performers across the ecosystem to demonstrate the customizability of a partnership at any level.
b4. storytelling design
With our high-level storytelling out of the way, we turned our focus on storytelling for smaller, more focused opportunities like specific tours.
c. result
Over the course of our time working with DanceOne, our sales team secured six partnership deals with the use of our creative materials.
c1. customizing the pitch
For each of these, our creative team took a customized approach to storytelling. For example, with Kendra Scott, we identified three areas of focus: Fashion, Family, and Philanthropy, and we designed programs around each one that would show their relevance in the partnership
